Beatrice Turenne

MA, LAC (NJ)

Beatrice Turenne graduated from Nyack College’s Alliance Graduate School of Counseling with a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling. She also attended Seton Hall University School and earned her Bachelor’s in Social Work. Furthermore, she is licensed in the State of New Jersey as a Licensed Associate Counselor (License #37AC00138000) and is supervised by Joanne McCarthy, MA, LPC (License #37PC00463800).

Having over 15 years of experience in providing mental health and behavioral health services, Beatrice has experience working with women, adolescents, children and families, as well as couples in all stages (dating, pre-marital, married and those who are separated and navigating issues of co-parenting). Her areas of focus also include issues of emotional and spiritual abuse, spiritual formation, trauma, grief and loss as well as depression, anxiety and self-worth.

Beatrice brings a holistic view of the person in the environment and works in sessions to empower the heart, mind, and soul of her clients. Ultimately, she believes where a person might be is not where s/he must stay, as higher heights and deeper depths are always available. She sees her role as a counselor as one of supporting each client’s process and creating the space for the journey through cognitive behavioral therapy and a strengths-based perspective.
