Johanna Santana has completed her Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nyack College’s Alliance Graduate School of Counseling, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the Dominican Republic. Johanna currently has her permit as a Mental Health Counselor-Limited Permit in the State of New York City (#P103360) under the supervision of Stephanie Lawrence, MA, Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of New York (#007696). Her clinical experience includes, but is not limited to, counseling individuals and groups in the topics of depression, anxiety, PTSD, identity issues, spiritual issues, trauma, abuse, grief work, lifespan transitional issues, and parenthood challenges for typical and atypical childhood development. For over 20 years, Johanna has been hosting conferences, workshops, and psychoeducational groups for a very diverse audience within the fields of Education, Psychology, Christian Counseling, and Developmental Disabilities. Particularly, she understands the Autism Spectrum Disorder from a family perspective, and she is the founder and Executive director of a non-for-profit organization that offers international support and education on the topic of Autism. Johanna and her husband are currently serving the community as a pastoral family in the City of New York.
