Kimberly Arbelo is a Ph.D. Candidate with an expected graduation date of May 2026. She offers a compassionate, client-centered approach to therapy, focusing on integrating attachment theory with evidence-based practices. Kimberly is dedicated to cultivating a safe and supportive environment where clients feel comfortable exploring their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Together, they work to uncover the root causes of challenges and develop effective strategies to promote healing and growth. Her focus is to help clients navigate life’s difficulties, heal from past trauma, and develop healthier, more fulfilling relationships.

As a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (LAMFT) in the State of New Jersey (#37FA00055100), Kimberly is under the supervision of Michael Pagana, MA, LMFT (License #37F100213900). She holds a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and is an Adjunct Professor at Liberty University (LU). Currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Psychology at LU, Kimberly’s research focuses on investigating “Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing as a Moderator in Attachment Security Scores Accounting for Trauma.” She has provided therapeutic interventions and mental health resources internationally to those in Spain, Ireland, Costa Rica, and Rwanda. 

Kimberly’s skill set is diverse and includes certifications and trainings in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Gottman Level 1 (Couples Counseling related), Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy, ASIST suicide prevention, and SYMBIS (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts) facilitation. Additionally, she is certified in Love and Logic Parenting, which allows her to help parents foster healthy and nurturing environments for their children.
