Lizandra (Liz) Portalatin is a Licensed Professional Counselor (License #37PC00930500) in the State of New Jersey and a registered telehealth provider in the State of Florida (#TPMC3707). She is passionate about empowering people to experience their lives to the fullest potential — physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.  Liz earned her Masters Degree (MA) in Mental Health Counseling  from Nyack College’s Alliance Graduate School of Counseling and two Bachelors of Science Degrees from Liberty University — one in Psychology & Christian Counseling and the other in Psychology & Life Coaching.  She is also a member of the American Counseling Association and the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC).

Liz has post-graduate training in DBT, trauma, and EMDR therapy.  She is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). Furthermore, she holds several certificates from the AACC in Women’s Counseling, Marriage and Family Counseling, Children’s Counseling, Life Coaching, Advanced Life Coaching, Leadership Professional Life Coaching, Marriage Coaching, Health & Wellness Coaching and Financial Life Coaching. Liz’s areas of focus include individual and group therapy for depression, anxiety, trauma, sexual abuse, spiritual abuse, grief & loss, marital/relationship issues, women’s issues, identity, spiritual & emotional healing, spiritual formation, career concerns, and overall lifestyle adjustments.  She believes that each person is unique and follows his/her own individualized path to healing and restoration.  She uses a warm and empathic approach to come alongside each client to help facilitate growth and wholeness.
