Lori Camaya is a Masters in Counseling intern at Wellsprings Counseling Center and a graduate student currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University. She is supervised by Joanne McCarthy, MA, LPC (License #37PC00463800), LMHC (License #005069), and Lori holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Rutgers University.
Believing in a collaborative, client-centered approach to therapy, Lori prioritizes each individual’s story and goals. She is especially interested in working with adults, couples, adolescents, and families; she is committed to creating a safe, supportive environment where clients can explore personal growth and emotional well-being. Having spent more than a decade working in the corporate sector, she also dedicated 12 years to being a full-time parent while leading community initiatives, mentoring women, supporting others through life transitions, and pursuing her Masters Degree.
Lori resides in New Jersey with her husband, their two teenagers, and their dog, Captain. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family, and supporting her children in their activities. After graduation, Lori plans to pursue licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in New Jersey and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York.
