Melanie holds a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Nyack College’s Alliance Graduate School of Counseling and earned a Bachelor of Science in Community Health from Hofstra University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (License #37PC00746300) in the state of NJ and a National Certified Counselor (NCC) through the National Board of Certified Counselors (ID #886856). Melanie has worked in various clinical settings and is experienced in helping individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma & abuse, interpersonal & relational concerns, boundary issues, grief & loss, and substance abuse. She has a passion for guiding individuals through recovery from narcissistic/emotional abuse.

Melanie believes in building authentic therapeutic relationships based on trust and acceptance. She utilizes a client-centered, empathetic approach to provide a safe space for clients to gain greater insight and self-awareness. Melanie also serves as an outpatient clinician at St Joseph’s Health/Wayne Psychiatry Practice. She maintains professional memberships with the American Counseling Association and American Association of Christian Counselors and has co-authored of a peer-reviewed article entitled “Spiritual Factors Predict State and Trait Anxiety” published in the APA Journal of Religion and Health (2016).
