Susie has a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Nyack College’s Alliance Graduate School of Counseling.  She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (License  #37PC00764800) in the State of NJ, a Licensed Mental Mental Health Counselor (License #010922) in the State of NY, and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the State of Maryland (License #LC13821). Furthermore, she holds Christian Life Coach and Christian Counselor Certifications from Professional Christian Coaching and Counseling Academy (PCCCA).

With extensive corporate background and 15+ years as a Church Youth Leader, Susie takes care to create an emotionally safe therapeutic relationship so that her clients feel seen and heard. She is passionate about educating and equipping her clients with skills,  coping strategies, and self-soothing techniques to regain a sense of calm and self-control on their own when they are triggered. Susie works with young adults, mid-life women, couples, families and groups. Susie is an EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapist, and she practices with a basic Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) orientation. She utilizes Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), Gottman Couples Therapy, and Attachment Based Family Therapy (ABFT).  Trained in the Multidimensional Partner Trauma Model, Susie is a CCPS (Certified Clinical Partner Specialist). Additionally, through her education and experience with the Early Recovery Couples Empathy Model (ERCEM), Susie is a CCES (Certified Clinical Empathy Specialist) working with couples post-betrayal toward post-traumatic growth. Lastly, Susie specializes in adolescent depression and emotional regulation, betrayal trauma, shame based addictions, attachment wounds, suicide and overdose loss, emotionally healthy spirituality, sex/love addiction, and relationships with adult children.
